Or experience a traditional form of hunting as part of a hunting team, where each hunter stands in his own particular spot and keeps watch.

The hunting trip starts in Jukkasjärvi and at the ICEHOTEL, where we check in to our hotel rooms or cottages. We eat dinner together and go over the arrangements for the coming hunt. After a good night's sleep and a solid breakfast, we will set off by minibus towards the hunting-grounds in Tornedalen.

We spend the next three nights staying in a hunting lodge. We devote the whole time to hunting with elk hounds or alternatively we will dedicate our time to hunting in teams, naturally taking some much-needed breaks for lunch, which will be eaten outdoors. We round off the evenings by having a warming sauna and by eating dinner together.

On the fourth day we will conclude our trip with a morning hunt, and after lunch we leave the hunting-grounds. We will round off our hunting adventure with a supper, sauna and hot tub, and a pleasant night in a cottage or hotel room at the ICEHOTEL. After breakfast the following day, you will be taken to the airport to fly home. Season Oct-Dec.

Midnight Sun Above the Arctic Circle

Welcome to Kiruna and Lapland. Kiruna lies 200 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, and from the end of May to the middle of July, the sun shines constantly in the sky. The warm light will fill you with energy to discover a fantastic mountain world, living Sami culture, magnificent nature with untouched river valleys, the ICEHOTEL Art Center and the world's largest underground mine. There are stunning contrasts between the summer warmth and artwork made of ice, the light midnight sun in the sky and the deep underground mine.

The journey by train or bus along the road between Kiruna and Narvik offers a fantastic variety of nature experiences: expansive landscape, the Abisko Canyon, beautiful waterfalls and snow-capped mountains that meet the sea in the precipitous fjords. The history of the railway construction and the Second World War is interesting and exciting. Narvik is also well known for its good shopping.

We will make an evening excursion along the beautiful Torne River where we will visit the best places in the river valley: Jukkasjärvi Church and a Saami camp with reindeer. In Jukkasjärvi you will also find the ICEHOTEL Art Center. Here you have a possibility to enjoy some of the beauty that the world-famous ICEHOTEL offers during winter. Dinner will be served around an open fire in a wooden hut on one of the river islands.

A minibus will take us up on Mount Luossavaara. The views from here are magnificent, with Kebnekaise in the west, the midnight sun in the north, the city of Kiruna in the south and Jukkasjärvi with the Torne River in the east. The guide will make a fire and serve Sami specialities

This package includes:

Transfer to/from the hotel

Three nights accommodation in a double room

Train/bus through the mountain world via Norwegian fjords to Narvik

Boat trip on the Torne River and a visit to ICEHOTEL® Art Center, a Sami camp with reindeer and Jukkasjärvi Church, and wilderness dinner

ICEHOTEL, Snowmobile and Dog Sled

Welcome to Kiruna and Lapland. Up here in Europe's last wilderness, you will find everything: a fantastic mountain world, untouched river valleys, the midnight sun in summer, and polar nights and northern lights in winter. The Sami culture has a strong presence throughout the area, which also boasts the world's largest underground mine, Europe's only civilian space base and, not least, ICEHOTEL the world-famous hotel made from snow and ice.

Experience ICEHOTEL, the fascinating construction that is rebuilt every year. The whole of ICEHOTEL is a loan from the Torne River's rich flow – it is built from material taken from the river and eventually returns to the river as it melts at the end of the season. The completely transparent ice is not only used for the architecture, but also for all the art and design found in this unique hotel.

Join us on a snowmobile through the Lapland polar night. The days are short in midwinter, but thanks to the white snow, the starlight and northern lights, it is never completely dark. It is a magical feeling to travel through the night with the chance to see the northern lights if the weather is clear. A Lapland wilderness dinner is enjoyed in a Lavvù (Sami hut) by the river sitting on reindeer skins around the fire.

A tour by dog sled is a fantastic way to experience nature in winter. The dogs howl and tug on their harnesses eager to pull you through the wilderness. As soon as the guide lets go, the dogs become quiet and all you hear is the sound of dry snow under the runners of the sled. Silence, calm and action all at the same time.

This package includes:

Flight or train from Stockholm to Kiruna

Transfer to/from the hotel

Three nights accommodation in a double room

Guided tour to the ICEHOTEL with the ice church and ABSOLUTE ICEBAR

Northern lights tour by snowmobile, dinner in a Lavvù

Tour by dog sled incl. coffee and sandwich
